Tiny Country Cottage In Keeping With Style & Decor
We have such a diversity of buildings, styles of architecure and decor in this little old isle of ours. It is really exciting to drive to a village anywhere and just look round at the age of the properties there. I was visiting a village years which sadly because the pubs and both shops have shut, they have nothing in the way of atmosphere to glue the community together. But they do have plenty of very attractive houses and thatched cottages. I was actually eyeing up one that had a for sale sign and had a glance through the windows of the rather tiny little kitchen. I could see a butler sink, large upright taps and a wooden draining board and across the room an unfitted ‘houdini’ cabinet with pull down hatch standing against the far wall. The style of furishing and decor looked so apt for the age of the place. It was frustrating not to get in for a look!
