When you live in a house from being built, as I have with this current one, it is easy to see things as still new and not needing updating. Time slips by very easily and before you know it, you’re looking at old and inefficient […]
I can’t tell you how I hate the sight of cactus plants. It started years ago – the father of our best friend collected these and other succulents. I was only about ten at the time and I could never see the facination with these odd prickly and dried up looking speciments. Over the summer holidays I spent many hours in that house – not actually admiring the growth factor, which us very very slow. Fortunately. I do recall that they never watered the cacti at all – I’m guessing this was alright, they had about 400 of the blighters. - Alter furniture to make it more exciting – try painting handles, legs or arms of furniture to make them look more interesting
- Use picture frames with bright prints in to add a temporary colour change
- Don’t be afraid to clash colours or choose colours outside of your normal comfort zone
