Clever Ways to Make Your Rooms Feel Larger

Clever Ways to Make Your Rooms Feel Larger

We all want to make our homes feel as light and airy as possible, and with a few clever tricks, you can make any room feel larger and brighter. Here are some of our favourite ideas for making your home seem much bigger.

Think about your colour scheme carefully – light colours make rooms feel bigger by making walls and ceilings recede away.  White is a popular choice as it makes rooms feel really light, but it can be a cold colour if not accessoried in the right way.  Dark shades can make a room feel cozy and intimate, but can make walls and ceilings seem much closer. Not ideal when you want a room to feel larger!

Windows and mirrors are a fab way to make a room seem larger.  The more light you can get in, the better, so ensure nothing blocks your window.  Mirrors can help reflect light around and can make rooms appear to have extra space thanks to the reflections.
